The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) today announced that two sites have been certified through the Select Tennessee Certified Sites program.

McWhorter recently approved $36.6 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), which will assist communities with infrastructure improvements, housing rehabilitations and health and safety initiatives.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Xxentria Technology officials announced today the company will invest $45 million to establish its first U.S. metal composite production facility in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Sparta Metal Processing LLC officials announced today the company will invest $12.3 million to expand its metal remanufacturing operations in the Upper Cumberland.

– Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart McWhorter and Summit Behavioral Healthcare officials announced today the company will invest $4.5 million to expand its Franklin, Tennessee, headquarters.

– Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart McWhorter and Stone Mountain Technologies, Inc. (SMTI) officials announced today the company will invest $13.9 million to establish manufacturing operations in Piney Flats, Tennessee.

– Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter announced today the 17 Tennessee Main Street and Tennessee Downtowns communities that are recipients of Downtown Improvement Grants.
