Initial Ring Official

This application is for an Initial Ring Official, which would include any of the following:

• Announcer: A person authorized to act as an announcer at unarmed combat contests or amateur events.
• Judge: A person who is responsible for scoring the performances of the combatants in a professional contest.
• Referee: A person who is present in the ring during the professional contest and exercises general supervision.
• Timekeeper: A person who is the official timer of the length of the rounds and the intervals thereof in a professional contest of unarmed combat.
• Ringside Physician: A person licensed to practice medicine in the State of Tennessee.

Licensing Requirements

1. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
2. Photograph (headshot)
3. Photocopy of Driver’s License

Complete the “Initial Ring Official Application” online at core.tn.gov.

The fees are as follows:

• Announcer: $150
• Judge: $100
• Referee: $125
• Timekeeper: $100
